Preliminary ExamsStudents who want to start a program at a college or university, but have not taken the correct profile in high school, may still be admitted if they pass "Preliminary Exams" in the missing disciplines. Such Preliminary Exams exist for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics A and Mathematics B. For entering a bridging programme to a master programme from the Delft University of Technology, the Preliminary Exam Mathematics T does exist. An exampleIt is not uncommon that a student wants to study medicine, but has not taken Physics as part of the finals. In order to be admitted to the desired program after all, he or she can sit the respective Preliminary Exam. The student prepares for the Preliminary Exam by means of self-study or by taking a course, followed by the Preliminary Exam. If the student passes, he or she may then be admitted to the program.
