CELSTEC, the Centre for Learning Sciences and Technologies is a Centre of Excellence in the fields of Learning Sciences and Technology Enhanced Learning. It aims to improve learning and knowledge handling at work, at school, at home and on the move, by combining state-of-the-art knowledge in the Learning Sciences with the innovative powers of new Information and Communication Technologies. New technologies and approaches to learning are extensively tested in our laboratories and in real practice. The core activities of CELSTEC are: research, innovation and education & training.
LOOK, Scientific Centre for Teacher Research is an expertise centre focusing on professional development of teachers. Its unique value to the educational field is implied within the way research is conducted. The centre carries out practice-based research in professional development of teachers and evaluates teacher-learning activities. Through research the centre stimulates professional development of teachers and contributes to the quality of teachers in the Netherlands.
NELLL is the research institute of the Open Universiteit specializing in research on lifelong learning. The institute wants to develop into a world-class institute in the field of lifelong learning and focusses on fundamental, application-oriented and innovative research.
