Registration procedure ICO membership PhD students
Step 1
Check if you meet the requirements. If you don't meet the requirements the application will not be given a reading.
Step 2
Complete the online PhD registration form. This registration form consists of questions on personal data, the students research project, and the ICO research theme(s) the student would like to participate in (see also the explanation on the registration form).
The registration form has to be submitted as soon as possible, but at least within three months after the start of the research project. Moreover, the registration form has to be submitted to the ICO secretariat before the students registration for ICO courses.
Step 3
Complete the education and supervision plan, and send it in duplicate to ICOs executive secretary. The Education and Supervision Plan has to be signed by the PhD student and his or her supervisor(s) before submission (see also the explanation on the plan).
The education and supervision plan will be checked to determine whether the educational requirements are met, and arrangements for supervision have been made. If the plan satisfies these conditions, it is signed by ICOs Educational Director and by the respective Theme Co-ordinator(s).
Registrations become effective after the PhD students research proposal and education and supervision plan have been approved.
