Research Themes

For the 2006-2011 recognition period, the ICO research programme is centred around six thematic groups. These groups were established around themes that reflect actual and promising developments in education and training. Furthermore, the themes reflect the major topics in Dutch educational research.

The six research themes:

2. Teaching and teacher education
3. Domain-specific instruction
4. Educational design and curriculum development
5. Schools and the societal context of education
6. Assessment, evaluation and examination
