Travel Information

By air

MECC Maastricht is within easy reach from several International Airports most of them are situated at one-hour driving distance from Maastricht.

Numerous of International and European flights arrive at and depart from Schiphol airport, Brussels International airport, Düsseldorf International airport, Cologne airport on a daily basis.   

The following airports are in the vicinity of Maastricht:

By train

Amsterdam airport has direct trains to Amsterdam Central Station. Maastricht has two railway stations, Maastricht central Station and Maastricht Randwijck Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct connection to Maastricht with trains leaving 7 and 37 minutes after each hour from platform 5.
The MECC is just 5-minutes walk from the Maastricht Randwijck railway Station. Trains from Brussels (via Liège) and from Maastricht Central Station stop here. Maastricht Central Station is linked to the International Intercity Network.

Maastricht Brussels Express

Maastricht has excellent rail links with all major European cities. The Maastricht-Brussels Express is comfortable and fast! It takes you to the centre of Brussels in about an hour. Paris is less than three hours away (change trains for the Thalys) and you are in London in just over three hours (change trains for the Eurostar). If you are planning to travel further you can change at Brussels Noord for the train to Brussels Airport. The Maastricht Brussels Express departs every hour, twelve times a day during the week. Local transport

During the conference your conferencebagde will give you free acces to the local transport facilities. You can use this to go and visit the city in the evening and for your daily transportation between youy hotel and the congres venue. From the city center there is a public bus service (a bus 5 times per hour) to the MECC. The following busses go directly from the railway station to the MECC: 1, 3, 4, 10, 53 and 57. 

By car

Maastricht is situated at the junction of E25/A2 (Amsterdam-Liège) motorway and the A79 (Brussels-Cologne) motorway, and has good connections with all other European motorways. The conference venue (MECC) is located directly off the E25/A2 highway. Take the exit Randwijck/MECC/azM and follow the signs to the MECC parking area. Parking lots will be reserved for congress participants during congress days and will be clearly indicated.
