Michelle Nugteren MSc
Michelle Nugteren (1989) studied Educational and Developmental Psychology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2008 until 2011. She received her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology at the same university in 2012. From 2011 until 2013, she participated in the Advanced Research Program at the Erasmus University. This is a research program for outstanding students in Psychology.
She was hired in 2013 by the Open University as a PhD student for the project “Scaffolding self-regulation: Effects on the acquisition of domain-specific skills and self-regulated learning skills”. In this project, together with the Erasmus University and Maastricht University, the effects of modeling examples (Erasmus University), metacognitive checklists (Maastricht University), and tutor guidance (Open University) on acquiring domain-specific skills and self-regulated learning skills are investigated.
