Computer Science Education Research Conference (CSERC'2012)

Computer Science Education Research Conference (CSERC'2012) aims at creating a platform for researchers in the field of computer science education. Over the years it has become clear that there is a need for more fundamental knowledge about and input into computer science education. To contribute to this, last year CSERC'2011 has been organized in Heerlen, Netherlands, annex to a Dutch Conference for Computer Science Teachers, NIOC'11. CSERC'2012 is intended to be, like CSERC, in cooperation with ACM's Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE, pending approval). Because of the truly international mission of CSERC we aim at locating this conference in different counties, and FedCSIS 2012 obviously is an excellent opportunity.

Workshop Visualization

- Submit an extended abstract (1-2 pages) for a position paper before August 10 to the workshop organizers at cserc12@hciv.de

Paper Submission and Publication
- Authors should submit draft papers (as LateX, PDF or MSWord file). Style templates are available here .
- The total length of a draft paper should not exceed 8 pages.
- Submitted draft papers will be refereed on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the conference.
- Accepted draft papers will be published as "Preprints of the Computer Science Education Research Conference." They will be made available to the FedCSIS participants, but will not be included in the IEEE DL.
- Only authors of papers presented at the conference will be invited to produce an extended paper (between 8 and 12 pages), which takes into account the discussions that were held during the conference. These extended papers will be published in the ACM Digital library.
- Organizers reserve right to move accepted papers between FedCSIS events.
