Have you been working in the IT sector as an OO programmer for a while? And are you thinking about taking a step forward to co-design IT solutions? Then take a look at the profession of Software Architect. In that role you can use the experience of a software developer programmer very well to oversee the risks and opportunities that fast high-tech developments entail.

Software Architect is a program at the master’s degree level, enabling you to develop into a good software architect. You will gain in-depth insight into iterative system development according to the unified process, object-oriented design using design patterns and software architecture, including Software Product Lines, webservices Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) en de REST architecture style. During this 7 months program, your time investment is approximately 10 hours per week in addition to biweekly meetings, both online and physically in Utrecht. Afterwards you can use your knowledge and skills to design object-oriented and component-based systems. The program combines thorough theoretical knowledge with practical assignments, which you can apply in your own professional practice.

Your profile

After finishing your HBO education you started working as a programmer and you have been around for a few years. You understand object-oriented programming like no one else and you like to give advice about it. The next step to be able to oversee complex systems and to design them yourself is something you seriously consider. There exists a great need for Software Architects with a with a technical background and programming skills. You will gain fundamental knowledge at master’s level and you can explain exactly what you do and why you do it. This professional program gives you the possibility to take the lead in projects and design large systems with constantly changing new technology.
