Working at the OU
The working climate at the Open University is professional and results-oriented. We employ people in the field of science for the development of our education and research, as well as people in our supporting services who make education possible.

The head office of the Open University is established in Heerlen. Examinations are sat and sometimes supervisory meetings are organised in 21 study centres in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The Open University has approximately 17,000 students and employs 700 people.

The Open University is part of the VSNU, Association of Universities in the Netherlands, together with thirteen Dutch universities. The VSNU represents the interests of the universities towards the government, politics and social organisations.
