Symposium Justitia and Leviathans: The Struggle for the International Rule of Law

The international legal order as we have known it since 1945 is under severe pressure. Geopolitical tensions, wars, and the undermining of legal institutions by both autocratic and democratic states are creating a profound crisis. International law is under constant attack. On Friday 13 June 2025, the Open University is organising a symposium in which experts will focus on the question: how can we protect and strengthen the international legal order in a time of increasing lawlessness?
