Trendsconference: Co-Designing Hybrid Learning: Bridging Physical and Virtual Learning Spaces

Hybrid learning is not a new phenomenon in the current educational landscape. In 2025, the traditional boundaries of a physical classroom can be extended not only figuratively but in the most literal sense of the word. University professors interact with live and online audiences simultaneously. Students learn together across spaces, sitting in different physical classrooms, at school, at home, and in different places and time zones. This is the reality of hybrid learning.

At the conference, Co-designing Hybrid Learning: Bridging Physical and Virtual Learning Spaces, the Hyb-it-project team will present the results of a three-year journey and organize interactive discussions and workshops with invited experts and conference participants. This event aims to stimulate thought-provoking discussions on designing, implementing, and organizing hybrid learning environments by bringing together leading scholars in technology-enhanced learning and digitalization in education.
