First point of contact for concerns about social safety and integrity
The point of contact Social safety and integrity is an independent and confidential place for questions, advice and reports concerning social security and integrity.
The point of contact:
- serves as a first point of contact for your concerns and offers a listening ear
- thinks along with you
- Refers you if necessary.
Every question or report is handled carefully and confidentially.
Who are we here for?
We are available to all staff, students and PhD students of the Open Universiteit.
What can you contact us for?
You can contact us to:
- Ask questions
- Seek advice
- Share an undesirable situation you are experiencing or are observing in relation to social safety
- Receive guidance towards the appropriate professional or support service, if you wish (for example a confidential counsellor or the ombudsperson). You may also contact them directly if you prefer.
Contacting the point of contact Social safety and integrity does not mean you are making a formal report. A conversation or e-mail does not oblige you to anything.

For managers
If you are a manager, you can also contact the point of contact for questions and
advice, for example:
- Are you unsure what to do?
- Do you want to discuss a signal?
- Which steps are appropriate in your role?
Together, we look at what would be appropriate and responsible within your role.
We also treat this contact confidentially.
