Conference: Seeking Sustainable Solutions

On Friday 8 November 2024, the faculty of Management of the Open Universiteit organizes the conference 'Seeking Sustainable Solutions'. This conference explores from a multidisciplinary perspective how sustainable transitions can be enabled through business-society interfaces. Presenters and participants will explore the development of regional collaborative solutions to sustainability challenges and reflect on the role of education and learning communities in these processes.

Theme

The central theme of the conference is how organizations can create social and environmental value in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. In the European context, there are some interesting directives coming out (EU CSRD and CSR DDD) that are obligating organizations to identify materials ESG risks throughout an expanding scope of responsibility.
