Blue Green Governance
The Open Universiteit is involved in a large international Horizon Europe project on coastal and marine governance. This project, BlueGreen Governance aims to develop innovative land-sea governance schemes based on scientific evidence and societal choices. The project offers several opportunities for a thesis project and cooperation with various organization throughout Europe.
Specific topics that could be studied include:
- Institutional innovation in marine and coastal governance
- Marine protected areas | climate adaptation | nature-based solutions
- The biodiversity-water-climate nexus in marine and coastal governance
- Policy integration
- Social learning
- Scenarios and other ways of exploring possible futures
