Prof. Janine Janssen is professor of Criminology and Legal Anthropology at the Open Universiteit. She is also professor at Avans University of Applied Sciences and the Police Academy of the Netherlands.

Prof. Conny Rijken is the Dutch National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings and Sexual Violence against Children since 1 September 2022. The National Rapporteur investigates the nature and extent of human trafficking and sexual violence against children in the Netherlands, and advises national and local government, other administrative bodies, international organizations and professionals who provide help and support, on how to prevent and combat human trafficking and sexual violence against children. Conny Rijken is also professor of Human Trafficking and Globalization at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, and an elected member of GRETA (Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings). The latter is a group of 15 experts monitoring the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings by the Parties. 

Dr. Laura Carolyn Wood is a forensic paediatrician caring for children in a busy Sexual Assault Referral Centre in England, and a director of VITA Foundation, a clinician-led charity that equips health professionals, systems, and services to respond skillfully to human trafficking. She is currently undertaking a research Churchill Fellowship on prevention of child trafficking, learning from different perspectives and experiences around the world. 

Prof. Jorn van Rij is a Senior Researcher on the topic of Human Trafficking at the Netherlands National Police focusing on international operating criminal networks and technology. He is also a Visiting Professor of Human Trafficking at the faculty of Law of the University of Pécs in Hungary and a committee member on the Dutch Victims of Serious Crimes Compensation Fund. Jorn initiated the establishment of six Human Trafficking research centers at  different Universities across Europa and aims to bridge the gap between education and policing and fostering partnerships through cooperation. He is also one of the founders of the non-profit Reshape foundation which runs the escape truck against human trafficking. 

Prof. Marijke Malsch is a professor of Empirical Legal Studies at Open University Netherlands, and fellow at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR).
