Increasing resilience through financial knowledge: bridging the prosperity gap
Low financial literacy is associated with poverty and debt, as well as various other problems such as health issues and unemployment. This project focuses on interventions for people with long-term financial problems and low financial literacy with an emphasis on intrinsic motivation and behavioral change. Existing interventions focus mainly on knowledge transfer and only have a moderate success rate. The project will explore the possibilities of AI for a personalized approach that aligns with the target group's wishes, circumstances, and needs. This involves collaboration with the ELSA Lab 'Poverty and Debt' and the National Program Heerlen-North.
